Jordan Busch FF/EMT

Host, Author, Mental Health Advocate

Jordan Busch is the host of Sirens n’ Sanity, a podcast where first responders gather to talk about the job, the stress, the dark humor, and the questionable coping mechanisms that somehow get us through another shift.

Jordan has spent years working in EMS, emergency communications, the fire service, and emergency management, meaning he has seen just about everything—from the best moments of humanity to the guy who swears the fork he swallowed will “probably pass on its own.”

When he’s not behind a microphone, Jordan works a few jobs (don't we all?). Ironically, his day job is trying to stop the exact types of situations that usually end up becoming stories told around ambulance bays and firehouse kitchen tables.

Jordan is also the author of Still On Scene, a book that dives into the real mental health challenges faced by first responders. The goal? Break the stigma, start conversations, and remind the people who run toward chaos that they’re allowed to take care of themselves too.

Through Sirens n’ Sanity, Jordan brings together firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, police officers, and other public safety professionals to share real stories, real struggles, and occasionally the type of humor that would make normal people very uncomfortable.

Because if you’ve worked in emergency services long enough, you know two things are guaranteed:

  1. The radio will go off at the worst possible moment.
  2. The best therapy is sometimes just sitting around with people who understand why the job is both the best and most ridiculous career in the world.

Welcome to Sirens n’ Sanity — where we talk about the job, the stress, and everything in between.
